Joan Paris

Joan Paris, 74, of Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at Centerpoint Medical Center. A memorial service will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 11 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Greater Kansas City Humane Society.
Joan was born April 28, 1934 in Omaha, NE to Edward and Helen Sullivan, moving to Kansas City in 1945. She placed a great deal of importance on family, living her life for her children and grandchildren. Joan will be missed for her welcoming, caring, compassionate and generous nature by all who knew and loved her.
Joan is survived by her sister, Mary Lou DeVoy; brother, George Sullivan; children: Stephen Paris and wife Linda, Cheri Paris and life partner Nicole Sasso, Craig Paris and wife Amy, JoEllen DeWeert and husband Chris, and Susan Griffin and husband Robin; twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; long time family friend, Bill Smith; and a host of extended family and many friends.
