Georgia Kay “Nonnie” Parker, 70 of Sugar Creek, MO passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012 at her residence. Cremation is planned with a memorial service to be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until service time Thursday at the chapel. Georgia was born October 11, 1941 in Kansas City, MO to Kenneth and Juanita (Cline) Harter and has been a lifelong area resident and had attended William Chrisman High School. She had worked as a bookkeeper for a law firm for a number of years until she retired. She was a member of the Calvary Sounds Evangelistic Temple in Independence, MO where she played the bass guitar and sang. She was also a member of the VFW #3976 Women’s Auxiliary. She was married to Harvey Thomas Parker, he preceded her in death. Survivors include; 3 daughters, Robin Moore, Wendy Parker both of Sugar Creek, MO and Tracey Calhoun of Independence, MO; 3 brothers, Richard Harter of Belton, MO, Charles Harter of Grandview, MO and Jerry Harter of Lake Isabella, MI; 8 grandchildren, Josh moor and wife Nikki, Tara Moore, Tana Clark and husband Chris, Brandon Ellis Sara Garrett, Amanda Butler, Mathew Butler and Misty Haskins; and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Juanita Harter and a sister, Joyce Marie Griffith. She was loved by many and will never be forgotten!
