John Edward Parker, 73, Steamboat Springs, CO passed away Friday, February 21, 2014.
John was born December 17, 1940 in Detroit, MI the son of James Raymond and Bessie Pearl (Jones) Parker. He was a 1963 graduate of the United States Military Academy. John retired as a lieutenant colonel in 1984 from the U.S. Army as an Infantry Officer. He enjoyed traveling, skiing and spending time with family.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy Parker; sons Jim Parker and wife Dana, and Riley Parker and wife Debra; grandchildren, Jessica, Steven, Daniel, Ray, and Ian Parker; brother, James Parker; nieces, nephews and additional family. He was preceded in death by his brother Jack Parker and his parents. Memorial services will be at a later date.
