Pat Clark—a loving wife, mother and grandmother—was welcomed into the comforting arms of Jesus on September 16, 2025, after 82 blessed years with family. She was born in Jasonville, Indiana, on July 4, 1943, to Rev. and Mrs. William Bedwell. After graduating from Midland High School in 1961, Pat moved to Springfield, Missouri, to study at Central Bible College.
While pursuing her degree in early childhood education at CBC, she met a handsome young man from New Jersey, Ron Clark. After initially turning down an invitation to go out, Pat felt God’s calling on her heart and accepted Ron’s offer. They fell in love and married on June 18, 1966. The newlyweds embarked on a life of ministry together as Pat taught in both private schools and children’s church classrooms. Their family grew with three children, on whom she doted with an ever-enduring love.
After serving the Lord in positions from coast to coast, Ron and Pat found their forever home in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1990. They began attending church services at Pebble Creek Assembly of God, where they have worshipped, volunteered and created cherished memories with brothers and sisters in Christ, including traveling with their seniors’ group in recent years.
Pat loved nothing more than spending time with her family and helping people; she was able to do both working for Chick-fil-A. Over the course of nearly 20 years, “Miss Pat” worked alongside her daughter, son-in-law and each of her six beloved grandchildren, her pride and joy. Unwaveringly loyal and dependable, Pat ran a tight ship on her shifts, mentoring young people and brightening the days of countless guests. It was her pleasure.
Pat is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ronald W. Clark, Sr.; brother William Bedwell; daughter Chrystal Andersen (Lloyd); son Ron Clark, Jr. (Julie); son Andy Clark (Kelly); grandchildren Alex Andersen (Lynnae), Zack Andersen (Rachel), Madison Clark, Jake Andersen, Payton Clark, and Luke Andersen. Pat was also very excited about becoming a great-grandmother later this year.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Dorothy Bedwell; and her beloved cousin Sue Saunders.
Pat’s life will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 23 at Pebble Creek Assembly of God, 3711 S Whitney Ave., Independence, MO 64055. Visitation is from 10-11am. The funeral service will begin at 11am.
