Patricia Carol Funk, affectionately known as Patti, was born on October 16, 1969, in Kansas City, Missouri. She passed away on April 28, 2025, in Savannah, Missouri, leaving behind a legacy marked by compassion, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to helping others.

A few years after graduating from Ruskin High School, Patti earned her real estate license early in her career, where she briefly assisted individuals in finding their forever homes. However, her true calling emerged when she pivoted to nursing, a profession that allowed her to touch countless lives. For approximately 15 years, Patti served as a nursing assistant, dedicating her time and talent to several esteemed hospitals, including Shawnee Mission Medical Center, St. Joseph Hospital, and Mosaic Medical Center. Her work in this field was a testament to her compassionate nature and her passionate desire to care for others. Patti was known for her fiery spirit. She was an advocate for herself and those around her, always standing up for what was right, even when it was difficult. Her selflessness and commitment to leading by example were qualities that endeared her to many. Patti had a love for sports that began in her childhood, when she played basketball, and continued throughout her life. She was a devoted Kansas City Chiefs fan and enjoyed engaging in sports whenever possible. Her interests included reading, online shopping, garage sales, and antiques, as well as gardening, which she had recently taken up. Patti found joy in the simple pleasures of life—from watching shows on Netflix to attending concerts surrounded by her friends and family. Living in the tranquility of country life with her husband and son brought her immense happiness. Among her proudest accomplishments, nothing was more significant to Patti than her family. She cherished the moments spent with her loved ones and truly adored them above all else, including her four-legged family members. She adored holidays spent with family and went above and beyond to decorate for each occasion.
