Patricia Lynn Stark, affectionately known as Patty, was born on February 17, 1961, in North Kansas City, Missouri. She passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, in Kansas City, Kansas, surrounded by the love of her family. She graced this world with her presence for 64 remarkable years.
Patty dedicated an impressive 35 years of her life to Hallmark Cards, where she held various positions throughout her career, including roles in management. Her steadfast commitment and professionalism will be remembered by her colleagues and friends from Hallmark.
An alumna of Oak Park High School, Patty embraced a life rich in creativity and compassion. As an animal lover, she opened her heart and home to numerous critters over the years, showcasing her passion for animal rescue. Patty had a particular fondness for Pomeranians, having bred them in the past, and her love extended to many cats and dogs, each one finding sanctuary under her care. Beyond her affection for animals, Patty enjoyed a variety of hobbies. She loved the beauty of nature, often traveling to admire waterfalls, RV camping, and indulging in catfishing. Her artistic side shone in her love for crafting jewelry. Patty's proudest accomplishment was her family, whom she adored dearly.
Patty's passing is preceded by her parents, Mike and Frances Golubski. Her legacy of love lives on through her best friend and beloved husband of 36 years, Lee Stark; her son, Joshua Stark; her siblings, Michael Golubski and his wife, Tamara, and Barbara Grundy and her husband, Don; her brothers-in-law, Shawn Stark and his wife, Lisa, and Rex Stark and his wife, Tina; her fur babies, Coco, Floki, and Kitten, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A rosary service will be held at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, Missouri, on January 7, 2026, starting at 12:45 PM, followed by a visitation from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, and concluding with a memorial service from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM. The chapel is located at 18020 East 39th St S, Independence, MO 64055. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patty's memory to Wayside Waifs or Working Familie's Friend.
