Patricia Darlene Wallace, affectionately known as Patty, passed away on March 22, 2024, in her hometown of Independence, Missouri. She was born on February 6, 1942, to Martin Allen and Bertha Pearl (Ingmire) Allen.

Throughout her life, Patty dedicated herself to serving others. Known for her unwavering work ethic and compassion, Patty had a remarkable career that spanned various roles. A hard worker who embraced life’s challenges, she dedicated many years to Russell Stovers Candies before transitioning to the Salvation Army in Independence, Missouri, where she selflessly served for over 13 years. In her final working years, she found fulfillment in caring for the elderly residents of nursing homes, exemplifying her kind and nurturing nature.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Patty found joy in spending time with her family. She was especially fond of visiting the casinos, as well as the buffets they offered, with her sister, creating cherished memories that would last a lifetime.

Patty's joyful spirit and unwavering faith that truly defined her essence. She was a devoted member of the Salvation Army Church in Independence, Missouri; a place where she sought spiritual nourishment and community. Her presence was a constant source of strength at church services, and she could often be heard immersed in the joyful melodies of hymns, rarely missing an opportunity to belt out her favorite hymn, "I'll Fly Away."

Patty was a beacon of light to all who crossed her path and had a heart overflowing with generosity. Whether it was showering loved ones with thoughtful gifts and heartfelt cards or never failing to extend warm wishes on special occasions, she radiated warmth and love wherever she went. Her positive outlook on life and acceptance of all circumstances exemplified her resilient spirit. She approached every situation with grace and contentment, navigating life with unwavering kindness, and left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.

Patty leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire all those who had the privilege of knowing her. She is survived by her sister, Janet Hamilton; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as a wide circle of relatives and friends whose lives were enriched by her presence. Patty is preceded in death by her son, David Wallace; her parents, Martin and Bertha (Ingmire) Allen; sisters, Zelma Foster, Mary Bridges, Dorothy Trumbull, Naomi Dehues, and Shirley Cutshall; and brother, Jimmy Allen.

Services to honor and celebrate the remarkable life of Patricia Darlene Wallace will be held at the Salvation Army located at 14700 E Truman Rd in Kansas City, Missouri, on April 27th, 2024. A Celebration of Life will begin at 12:00 PM, followed by a reception. All are welcome to attend and pay their respects to a truly remarkable woman who touched the hearts of many.

In memory of Patty's beautiful life and enduring spirit, may we carry forward her acts of kindness and love towards one another. May her soul rest in peace as she watches over her loved ones from above.
