Patricia Louise Woodward

Patricia Louise Woodward passed away peacefully on September 25, 2026 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born to Thomas (Tim) and Thora (Brooks) Brady on February 27, 1932 in Parsons, Kansas She will be remembered for her gentle heart, selfless spirit, sharp wit, and an ornery sense of humor that could bring a smile to those around her.

She loved reading and there was always a stack of “read next” books nearby. She enjoyed classical music, gardening, baking and new crafts. Craft night with the great grandchildren became a favorite recurring event. She looked forward to family gatherings during the holidays, hosting large groups and creating traditions and memories that will be passed down for generations. She was also an enthusiastic Kansas City Chiefs fan who cheered on her team through every season.

Patricia served as a docent at the Nelson Art Gallery, where she shared her love of art with visitors. She also belonged to P.E.O. and the Junior Service League, giving her time and energy to helping those in need. Her love of dogs moved her to volunteer at a thrift store benefiting a canine shelter.

One of the greatest joys of Patricia's life was the years she spent with her beloved late husband, William. They shared a love of travel and golf, exploring the world side by side and creating countless adventures. Together they raised five strong and independent children. She cared for her parents and her mother-in-law.

More than anything, Patricia will be remembered for the way she cared for others. She was nurturing, compassionate, and always willing to lend a helping hand. Her family and friends were the center of her world, and she considered the time spent with them life's greatest blessing.

She is survived by her children, William " Bill" Woodward (Joanna), Alice Willard (Ron), Debbie Kennon, Jennifer Robinson (Cliff), Timothy Woodward (Matt); grandchildren, Jessica Willard, Geoffrey Willard (Karina), Amber Woodward (Stephen), Alison Wulff (Matthew), Alex Kennon (Lauren), Caroline Santiago (Gilbert), Emily Robinson, Caitlin Robinson (Kevin) and Timothy Robinson (Nawar), 14 great-grandchildren, her sister Sondra Torchia, sister-in-law Mary Woodward, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, William, her parents, and great-grandson Stetson.

A private celebration of life will be held by family at a later date.
