Shaun J. Patrick, 33, Independence, MO died unexpectedly April 1, 2013. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Friday, April 5 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055; cremation. No services are scheduled. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to Kansas City Animal Shelter, 4400 Raytown Rd., Kansas City, MO 64129.
Shaun was born Feb. 4, 1980 in Kansas City, MO. He graduated from Truman High School in 1998 and graduated with a Bachelor Degree from DeVry Institute in May of 2012. He worked for ten years at Baer Supply Company in Kansas City. He was a gamer who also loved card and board games and shooting air rifles with his friends. He was a huge fan of metal music, especially Iron Maiden, Iced Earth and Judas Priest. He loved his dogs Mona and Lucy and was concerned with animals’ rescue.
Shaun is survived by his wife Carmen Mahoney of the home; mother Kim Reed, Independence, MO; brother Shane Patrick and wife Dena, Kansas City, MO; sister Samantha Steidl; grandmother Helen Reed; uncle Jimmy Reed, all of Independence, MO; nephew Eric Patrick and niece Skylar Leibold.
