Patsy Mae Gill

Patsy Mae Gill, age 93, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born to Saint Patrick and Martha (Lloyd) Ellis on August 26, 1932, in Keytesville, Missouri and lived a life defined by kindness, generosity, and devotion to those she loved.

Patsy found her greatest joy in caring for her family. She was an amazing cook who especially loved preparing holiday meals, bringing everyone together around a table filled with delicious food and cherished traditions. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and welcome, where family and friends always felt at ease.

She also enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, including spending afternoons garage sale shopping in search of hidden treasures, relaxing with her favorite Hallmark Channel movies, and, most of all, making memories with her grandchildren. Time spent with her family was what she treasured most, and her love for them was evident in everything she did.

Patsy will be remembered for her caring heart, gentle spirit, and the countless ways she made those around her feel loved. The memories she created will be cherished by all who knew her.

Patsy is survived by her children, Tim Gill, Kim Harvey (Greg) and Kelly Lee (James); grandchildren, Ryan Gill (Francesca), LeAnn Keck (John), Marah Guastello (Carl), Jeffrey Simmons (Sam), Christopher Simmons (Alecia) and Megan Linder (Preston); 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Turner and sister-in-law, Harriett Ellis.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 48 years Edward; son, Eddie Gill; and grandchildren, Travis Lee and Jennifer Simmons.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 19th from 9-10am at the Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, Mo. Funeral service will begin at 10am with burial to follow at Blue Springs Cemetery.
