Martha L. Peak, 92, Independence, MO passed away Saturday, August 13, 2011 at The Groves.
Born November 10, 1918, in Kansas City, MO, daughter of Elizabeth and William Stratemeier. Martha was a proud and loving grandmother. Whenever she was in the company of her family, she would state, "Look what I started" -- daughters, Carol (Fred), Betty, Peggy (Dale), Brenda; sons Jim (Irene) and Joe; fifteen grandchildren and spouses; twenty-five great grandchildren; and four great, great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Helen, Margaret, and Marilyn.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 17, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th Street S., Independence, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3846 W. 75th Street.
