Peggy Sue Brown

Peggy Sue Brown, a beloved homemaker and cherished member of her family, passed away on August 8, 2025, in Kansas City, Kansas, at the age of 61. Born on February 19, 1964, in Houston, Missouri, she was the daughter of James and Avril Hebblethwaite. Peggy’s journey through life was marked by her unwavering love for her family, a sense of humor that could light up any room, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys that life has to offer.

As a mother, Peggy found her greatest joy in her daughters, Kayla and JaLanna, and her grandson, Isaiah James. She poured her heart into nurturing her family, creating a home filled with warmth and laughter. Her proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly her family, whom she cherished above all else.

Peggy's love for television was a shared experience with her daughter Kayla and JaLanna, as they would frequently indulge in binge-watching their favorite shows together, including classics like "The Waltons," as well as modern hits like "Righteous Gemstones" and "Sons of Anarchy." Beyond the screen, Peggy had a passion for music that spanned decades, from rocking out to Kiss and Peter Frampton to enjoying the rhythmic beats of Missy Elliott.

In high school, Peggy showed her competitive spirit as a talented softball player, and her youthful exuberance remained with her throughout her life. Known for her culinary skills, she delighted her family with her delicious meals and had a unique quirk—she would never eat anything that was blue.

Peggy is reunited in spirit with her late husband, James Robert Brown, and her parents, James and Avril Hebblethwaite. Though she has left this world, her vibrant spirit continues to live on in the hearts of her loved ones. She is survived by her daughters, Kayla Northcutt and JaLanna Brown, her son in law David Northcutt, her grandson Isaiah, and her beloved furbaby, Barney.
