Born on October 22, 1947 in Fowler, KS to Clarence and Bessie (Graham) Ford. She passed away on March 6, 2026 in Kansas City, MO surrounded by loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her parents Clarence Ford and Bessie (Graham) Ford. She is survived by her children, Erin Montgomery (Amy) and Stacey Post (David); her five grandchildren, Tyler Montgomery (Richelle), Marie Alexander, Reese Montgomery (Lexy), Lillian Alexander (Bosten), and Ella Montgomery; and her two great-grandchildren, Adrian and Leah Montgomery.
Peggy graduated Meade High School in Meade, KS in 1965. She married Jerry Montgomery in 1966 and they later divorced in 1977. Peggy and her two children moved to the Kansas City, MO area.
Peggy was blessed with the incredible gift of being an artist. She painted beautiful pictures. She focused on creating magnificent floral arrangements for many years. She was so amazingly talented; she was able to take a concept and create exactly what the person desired. She also made miniatures for craft fairs.
Peggy loved playing with her indoor cats and community cats. She also raised cocker spaniel puppies on the farm.
She had a great love for silver jewelry. She loved the sound they made when she moved her arms. Her love for NASCAR and F1 started by going to races when Erin was a baby. She never missed a race.
Peggy loved spending time with her grandkids. She spent a lot of time going to cheerleading competitions, plays, football games, and soccer games.
A Memorial Visitation will be held from 9:00 Am to 10:00 AM on Friday, March 13, 2026 at Speaks Buckner Chapel, located at 300 Adams in Buckner, MO. A Celebration of Life will follow at 10:00 AM. The family requests that attendees please wear bright colors to Peggy's service in respect of all the beautiful colors of the flowers she loved. Donations can be made in Peggy's honor to a local animal shelter of your choice.
