Peggy Ann Veach
Peggy Ann Veach, beloved daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend, peacefully passed away, surrounded by her loved ones, on November 1st, 2025, at the age of 71. Peggy was born on December 17, 1953, in Kansas City, Missouri, to her mother, Mary Jane Morgan, and father, James T. Morgan. As the oldest of four siblings, she set a good example for them and graduated from Northeast High School in 1973. Later in life, at age 21, Peggy had begun a family of her own and gave birth to her two sons, David and Jason Veach. Peggy filled her time with what she held near and dear to her heart: spending time with her family, reading mystery, fantasy, and crime novels, writing poems, watching movies of all genres, and cooking and baking the most exquisite meals and treats. Most importantly, ringing her cowbell each time the NFL Chiefs scored a touchdown.
For 25 years, Peggy worked for Mid-Continent Public Library at the Genealogy Centre, where she got to do what she loved, learning about history and cataloging all kinds of important, historical information. She was loved and adored by all of her peers, proving to be a wonderful friend and support system. After years of hard work, dedication, and learning, she joyfully retired to enjoy the fruits of her labor by spending time with loved ones and cheering on the Chiefs. Wherever Peggy went, love followed. She took pride in dedicating her life to caring for her friends and family in every way.
Peggy was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Jane Morgan; father, James T. Morgan; Grandparents, Joseph and Mary Cass, Eldredge Morgan and Sarah Morgan Oyler; brothers, Thomas Morgan and James-Patrick Morgan; sister-in-law, Kimberly Morgan; brother-in-law, Kirk Steenhusen; granddaughter, Melodie Veach, and nephew, Christopher Morgan.
Peggy is survived by her two sons, David Veach and Jason Veach; siblings, David Morgan and Kathleen Steenhusen; sister-in-law, Ann Kristin Morgan; granddaughters, Sydnie Veach and Lilly Veach; grandsons, Michael Veach and Chalef Clark; nieces, Amber Morgan-Allee and Angela Morgan; nephews, Brian Morgan and Joey Morgan; nephew-in-law, Paul Andrew Allee; daughters-in-law, Angela Veach and Melissa Clark. Along with many other dear and close friends and family.
