Ralph Thomas Pemberton, 81, Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2012.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 10, 2012 at Ft. Osage Church of the Nazarene; 19333 E. Highway 24, Independence, MO 64056. Burial to follow at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens with Military Honors. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
Ralph was born March 2, 1930 in Kiowa, CO the son of George P. and Beulah O. (Lord) Pemberton. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Ralph retired from Bendix (Honeywell) as an electrician, and spent his retirement as a shade tree mechanic working on cars for family and friends. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, fishing, and in his younger years he was a private pilot and coached little league baseball.
Ralph was preceded in death by his brother, Leo Pemberton and his parents.
Survivors include his loving wife Barbara Pemberton of 55 years; sons, William Pemberton and Bob Pemberton; grandchildren, Amanda Pemberton, Amy Barnes and Coy Kays; great grandchildren, Anna and Lucy Barnes; brother, Preston Pemberton; sister, Georgia Kohrs and additional nieces, nephews and family.
