Kathleen Ann Pement

March 2, 1922 — April 7, 2007

Kathleen Ann (Okey) Pement, died Sat., April 7, 2007 at Rosewood Health Center at The Groves, Independence, MO, where she had been a longtime resident. She was 85.
Mrs. Pement was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Emma (Braklow) Okey, of Des Moines, IA; and her husband, Howard. She is survived by their four children: D. David of Clarkston, MI; Isleta “Lee” (Vince) Wehner of Independence, MO; Minola (Michael) Casullo of Malden, MA; and Brian Philip (Kathy) of West Bloomfield, MI; four grandchildren: Brian (Eva) of Fort Wayne, IN; Jackie Kathleen (David) Holt of Palmersville, TN; Scott of Greenville, TN; and Alana Casullo of Malden, MA; and six great-grandchildren: Derek, Devan, Zachary, Aaron, Nicholas and Sydney.
During WW II, Kathleen served in the U.S. Navy, stationed at the Naval Training Center in San Diego. She was a member of he Pontiac, MI chapter OES #228 and the Community of Christ. Kathleen donated her body to KU Med Center so that “someone could learn.” Interment will follow in Boone, IA. A Memorial service will be held Friday, May 4 at 2:00 pm at The Groves Community Room, 1515 W. White Oak, Independence, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests teddy bears for donation to the Independence Police Dept.
