Lola Marie Peters, 77, Independence, MO. Passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Independence Manor Care Center.
A Celebration of Lola’s life will be 2:00 PM Friday, April 9, 2010 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St. Independence, MO. Burial to follow at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
Mrs. Peters was born July 15, 1932 in Ava, MO the daughter of Harley Etcyl and Doris Marie (Jordan) Huffman. She was employed with Ranch Hands Foods for over 30 years, retiring in 1994. Lola enjoyed planting flowers, cooking for the family, and finding garage sales.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Lola is survived by her husband of nearly 55 years, Leland L. Peters; daughters, Linda M. Eggers and her husband Mike; and Brenda L. Warren; grandchildren, Darren L. and Daniel A. Wooten, Trevor A. Warren and her only and favorite granddaughter Alyssa B. Warren; sisters, Betty Marshall, Shirley Davis, and Ruth Swearengin; brother, Jerry Huffman and numerous nieces and nephews.
