Scott Peterson

Scott Leslie Peterson, 53, of Independence, MO passed away Sunday, January 18, 2009 at his home. Visitation will be 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 24, 2009 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Private burial in Mound Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Scott. Scott was born February 3, 1955 in Independence, MO to Wilmer and LaWedna (Seaton) Peterson. He attended Raytown grammer schools before his family moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where he graduated from high school. He then returned to Independence and was employed by the Independence San and Hospital, and then Centerpoint Medical Center for 30 years. Scott was a Deacon at Summit Grove Community of Christ Church. Mr. Peterson loved sports and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs and Royals fan! He is survived by his mother, LaWedna Peterson; brother Craig Peterson and wife Darlene; sister Vicki Campbell and husband David; nephews Tyler Campbell, Kevin and Jason Meyers; niece Ashley Campbell; and by many friends. Scott was preceded in death by his father Wilmer in ’01; and by his brother Dr. Stephen Peterson in ’90.
