Edith Mae Phillips, 99, Independence, MO passed away July 11, 2006 at North Kansas City Hospital.
Edith was born Feb. 16, 1907, in Newton, IA. She was a very religious lady and had a deep and abiding faith in Jesus. She was also a talented crafts person.
Edith was preceded in death by her husband Gerald G. Phillips and daughter Leta Yale. She is survived by daughter Tyra Brunson and husband Dr. Eugene Brunson, Pensacola, FL; former son-in-law Duane Yale and wife Linda, Independence; grandchildren Matthew Brunson, CA; Ronald Joseph Yale; Cara Ratterree, both of Independence; great-grandchildren Kate Brunson, CA; and Brooke Ratterree, Independence.
Services will be 10 am, Thursday, July 13, 2006 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; interment at Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
