Thelma Fern Phillips (Shepherd)

Thelma Fern Phillips, 65, of Independence Missouri, went home to be with her Savior Jesus Christ on October 27th, 2015.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 1st, at Speaks Suburban Chapel, in Independence Missouri; and family and friends will be received from 3:00-5:00 pm. The graveside services will be held on Monday, November 2nd, at 10:00 am at the Salem Cemetery.
Thelma was born on January 26, 1950 to Robert and Annis Shepherd in Clinton Missouri. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1968 and married her high school love, Charles L Phillips on May 31, 1968. They moved to Independence, Missouri where they built a life together and raised their family.
Thelma dedicated her life to Christ as a young child and was an active member of East Side Baptist Church in Independence Missouri.
Thelma leaves behind her husband Charles L. Phillips, of the home, her son Erich Phillips, and his wife Rhonda, her son Travis Phillips, and his wife Karen, and her daughter Tina Phillips McGinnis, and her husband Brian. Thelma also leaves behind six grandchildren: Mia (15), Ariel (13), Charles (12), Aidan (10), Patience (9) and Charity Rose (8).
