Vicki Lea Phipps, 50, of Independence, MO, passed away August 3, 2014, in Kansas City, MO. A visitation will be from 6:00-8:00pm on Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St, 64055. A service will be at 10:00am on August 7, 2014, at Speaks Suburban, with burial directly following at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens.
Vicki was born on August 22, 1963, to Roger and Jeanine (Barrett) Clark. She grew up in Kansas City, MO, graduating from Oak Park High School. She had two children, Andrea and Adam Phipps. She spent her life completely and passionately devoted to her children and working at Care by Clark, supporting individuals with disabilities.
She was preceded in death by her father, two nephews, and her grandparents. She is survived by her fiancé, Kenny Harrison; her mother, three brothers: Dewey (Suzanne) Todd, Roger (Bill Halsey) Clark, and Jerry (Stacy) Clark; close and dear friend Vicki Neighbors; many aunts and uncles and many nieces, one great-niece; nephews, and great-nephews. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Breast Cancer Fund in Vicki’s memory.
