Gertrude E. "Trudie� Pickett, 85 of Raytown, MO passed away September 10, 2003 at Research Medical Center. Memorial Services 2:00 pm Saturday, September 13, 2003 at George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home with family greeting friends from 1-2 pm prior to the services. Contributions may be made to the Northern Boulevard United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 1800 Northern, Independence, MO 64052. Trudie graduated from Truman State University in 1939 and the University of MO with and a Master and Specialist degree in 1971. She was a teacher in the Moberly, MO Public School system. She was a member of the United Methodist Women, the Northern Boulevard United Methodist Church, the Ladies Auxiliary of V.F.W. and the Ladies Auxiliary of Fraternal Order of Eagles. Trudie was born in Washington, MO the daughter of Erwin and Olga Pfundt Mallinckrodt. She was preceded in death by one brother, Bud Mallinckrodt and her first husband James Benedict. She was married to Floyd Russell Pickett on January 5, 1985 and he survives. She is also survived by one son: Jack Curry, and his wife Fran, Raytown, MO, one daughter, Rita Jill Curry, Independence, MO, two grandchildren, Heather Kemery & husband Brian, Raytown, MO, and Christine Roller and husband, Scott, Lee�s Summit, MO, two great grandchildren, Megan Kemery and Amelia Roller, one step-son, Russell Pickett, Independence, MO, two sisters, Anna Sanderson, Hartsburg, MO and Clara Davis, Shreveport, LA and several nieces and nephews.
