Jimmie was born Dec. 26, 1941 in Mexico, MO. He owned auto body shops over the years and most recently owned and operated Johnson County Auto Sales in Holden. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Jimmie enjoyed fishing, camping, canoeing and working on cars.
Jimmie was preceded in death by brother Eddie Pirtle. He is survived by his wife of forty-seven years Peggy Pirtle of the home; son Jimmie L. Pirtle, Jr. and wife Amy, Holden, MO; daughters Renata Shearer and companion Glenn Jones; Michelle McKinney, all of Kingsville, MO; sisters Joyce Wilcox; Betty Ridgewell and husband Dale; Peggy Tiffany; brother Danny Pirtle and wife Karen; grandchildren Damien Pirtle, Peggy Perdue, Tanner Pirtle, Derek Pirtle, Alyssa Pirtle John Mundy, Jessica Mundy, Spencer Shearer, Ashley Shearer, Cheyane Frizzell, Jessie McKinney; great-grandson Jeremiah Perdue and numerous nieces and nephews who thought the world of him.
