Carl J. “Pete” Plummer, 82, of Independence, MO passed away Sunday, February 17, 2008 at Carmel Hills Living Center. A visitation will be 5-7:00 PM, Wednesday, February 20 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday at the Chapel with burial at Highland Park Cemetery.
Pete was born September 22, 1925 in Iron Mountain, MO to George and Lillian Plummer. He married Bettie Watts in 1955. He was the owner of Plummer Floor Service in Englewood until 1977 and was a member of Sertoma. Pete enjoyed hunting, fishing, and family camping trips. Pete is survived by his wife of 52 years, Bettie; two sons: Steven James Plummer and Timothy James Plummer; three grandchildren: Michelle, Danielle, and James; and six great-grandchildren.
