John “Jack” Podraza, Jr. 73, Independence, MO passed away Jan. 20, 2018. Services will be 2 pm, Thursday, Jan. 25 at Speaks Suburban Chapel.18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055; cremation. The family requests contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3846 W. 75th St, Prairie Village, KS 66208.
Jack was born Oct. 8, 1944 in Kansas City, MO and graduated from DeLasalle High School. He was a driver trainer for the U.S. Postal Service until his retirement. He loved music, especially Elvis, and owned a DJ Service.
Jack is survived by son Mike Podraza and wife Trish, Pleasant Hill, MO; sister Sharon Ballew and husband George; brother Chris Nakicen; sister Lisa Nakicen; grandchildren Michaela, Josh, Sarah and Alex and great-grandson Grayson and niece Laura Kudrin.
