J.C. Pritchard

J.C. Pritchard, 88, of Independence, MO, passed away, Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday. October 6, 2009 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial with full military honors will be in Mt. Washington Forever Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m., until service time on Tuesday at the chapel. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association. J.C. was born January 16, 1921 in Noel, MO to Glen and Esther (Briggs) Pritchard. He had worked for over 36 years as a pressure supervisor for the Gas Service Company until he retired in 1983. He enjoyed bowling and especially spending time with his granddaughter. He proudly served in the US Army during WWII from 1942-47. He was married to Lucy A. (Rogers); she preceded him in death on November 15, 1998. Survivors include; a son, Dan Pritchard and his wife Alicia of Independence, MO; a sister, Barbara Givens of Blue Springs, MO; his beloved granddaughter, Anna Pritchard and numerous nieces and nephews.
