Mary Louzette Pruett, 95, of Independence, MO passed away Thursday, November 27, 2008 at Shangri La Rehabilitation Center. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 5, 2008 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to services from 1-2:00 p.m. Burial in Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Mary was born March 9, 1913 in Kansas City, MO to William Vaughn and Mary (King) Vaughn-Seaton. She retired from Lake City in 1972 after 30 years of employment. Mary dedicated her life in the care and service to others. She is survived by her sons Ray Cannon and wife Caroline, Floyd Cannon and wife Joyce, Dale Studdard and wife Noeline; step-children Gail, Pat and Jerry; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and by a host of nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by husbands Claude Cannon, Frank Studdard, Floyd Pruett; and by two brothers.
