Richard Pruitt, 84, of Independence, MO passed away September 15, 2018. A visitation will be held from 12-2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 21, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday at Woodlawn Cemetery. Richard was born August 31, 1934 in Pilot Knob, MO to Charles Benton and Frances Grace (Jahnsen) Pruitt. He is preceeded in death by his daughter Lizbeth Lea Pruitt; He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Beverly Pruitt; son, Neil Pruitt (Judy); two sisters, Janet Gay Walton, Sharon Diane Welker (Kenneth); five grandchildren, Andrea Naylor (Rodney), Neely Crist, Jason Pruitt (Kelly), Sean Pruitt (Katie), Lindsay Banda (Mario); and eleven great grandchildren.
