Barbara Pycior, 73, of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, March 8, 2008 at St. Mary’s Hospital. A visitation will be from 6-8:00 PM, Wednesday, March 12 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Graveside services will be 1:00 PM, Thursday at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Raytown.
Barbara was born June 6, 1934 in St. Joseph, MO to Leroy and Fannie Lee Van Loon. She married Edwin Pycior in 1953 and had two children, Ronald and Steve. Barbara retired from the Interstate Bread Company and then worked for the Jones Store. She enjoyed traveling and going to the boats and the movies. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin in 1996, and a grandson. She is survived by her sons: Ronald Pycior and wife Janette, and Steve Pycior and wife Cheryl; sister, Peggy Stewart; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The family requests contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association.
