Janette Pycior

Janette “Jan” M. Pycior, 55, Independence, MO passed away April 12, 2011. Graveside services will be at 2 pm, Monday, April 18, 2011 at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens in Independence, MO. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Sunday, April 17 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. The family requests contributions to the American Lung Association, 2400 Troost, Ste. 4300, Kansas City, MO 64108.
Jan was born Sept. 27, 1955 in Sedalia, MO. She graduated from Ft. Osage High School in the Class of 1973. She then began her career with the Social Security Administration where she worked for thirty-five years before retiring in 2008. In her free time, Jan enjoyed working on her computer, traveling and going to “the Boats”.
Jan was preceded in death by son Andrew Pycior and sister Roberta Toliver. She is survived by her husband of thirty-five years Ron Pycior; sons Nick Pycior, both of the home; Ben Pycior and wife Sara, Sugar Creek, MO; her parents Gerald and Shirley Schlobohm, Independence, MO; sisters Kim Weisner and husband Rick, Blue Springs, MO; Geralyn Schlobohm, Independence, MO, many nieces, nephews and other family members
