Doris Ralston

Doris A. Ralston, 89 of Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Rosewood Health Center. Cremation is planned with private graveside inurnment in Mound Grove at a later date. Donations may be made in her name to Wayside Waifs. Doris was born October 19, 1922 in Cardin, OK. She graduated from public schools and attended Graceland University in Lamoni, IA. She had worked as a medical transcriptionist for the former Independence Sanitarium and Independence Regional Hospitals. She enjoyed crafts, butterflies and flowers. She was a longtime member of the Community of Christ Church. She is survived by; a daughter, Rita Closson of Kansas City, MO and a sister, Mildred Mannering of Independence, MO. She was preceded in death by her husband O. Lee Ralston and a daughter, Linda Lee Ralston.
