Barbara R. Rambeck, 79 of Independence, MO passed away, Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Carmel Hills Living Center. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Burial will follow in Mound Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at the chapel. Barbara was born June 15, 1935 in Independence, MO to Mack Johnson and Velma Ruth (Smith) Moore and has been a longtime area resident graduating from William Chrisman in 1953. She later received a bachelor’s degree from Graceland University. She was a beloved wife, mother and homemaker who enjoyed sewing, crocheting and other handcrafted items and also played the piano and cello. She was married to Donald Bruce Rambeck who preceded her in death in 1997. Survivors include: a daughter, Karen Nelson; siblings, Bill Moore and wife Genelle, Eleanor Miller, Robert Moore and wife June and Ronald Dean Moore and wife Linda; 2 grandchildren, Crystal Gonzales and Andrew Nelson; 2 great grandchildren, Alexis and John Davis, aunt Vera Lathem and many nieces, nephews and her Waldo Restoration Branch family and friends..
