Judy Anne Rankin (Peters)

Judy Rankin, 61, 0f Independence, Mo passed away peacefully on November 12, 2015 with her loving family by her side. A Celebration of Life will be from 6-8pm, November 18, 2015 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Judy was born in Kansas City, MO to Lucien and Euda (Passmore) Peters on April 4, 1954. She graduated from Westport High School. She went on to study Cosmetology, a skill that she practiced for many years in the area. In her spare time she enjoyed family gatherings at the farm and sharing stories around the fire. But most importantly was the time that she spent with her grandchildren. Her love of family knew no bounds, and she cherished her grandchildren above all else. Judy was a long time collector of all things Coke, and angels. She was known as ½ of the “Twisted Sisters” affectionately by family and friends due to her shared love of ID TV with her sister. Survivors include; daughters Lisa Keith (Jeff), and Angie Oakes (Danny); son Brad Rankin; brother Larry Peters; sister Jeanie Preston; 6 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
