Helen Robertson Ream of Hidden Lake Care Center in Raytown, Missouri passed away on January 16, 2008 to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born February 14, 1917 in Sedalia, MO, daughter of Asa B. and Lucy (Russell) Robertson. She was graduated from Smith-Cotton High School in 1934 and from Central Business College in Sedalia. In 1939 she was married to Winston Calvert Ream of Green Ridge, MO. He preceded her in death in 1997. Helen worked at the Third National Bank in Sedalia for 25 years. She was an active member of First Baptist Church, Sedalia, until her move to Raytown in 1997. She then became a member of Noland Road Baptist Church. Her warm and loving personality brought joy to all who knew her. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Survivors include two daughters, Joy Wyckoff (Mike) of Independence, MO and Linda Dawkins (Bob) of Memphis, TN. In addition, grandsons Kyle Wyckoff (Melissa) of Laurel Hill, NC, Kurt Wyckoff (Amanda) of Grain Valley, MO, Drew Dawkins (Louise Anne) of Memphis, TN, David Dawkins (Laura) of Louisville, KY, and granddaughter Lisa Dawkins of Louisville, KY; and five great-grandsons, Landon & Micah Wyckoff of Laurel Hill, NC, Max Michael Wyckoff of Grain Valley, MO and William and Robert Dawkins of Memphis, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Robin Bono of Kansas City and Eunice Little of Columbia, MO. A special thank you to the staff at Hidden Lake Care Center in Raytown for their love and compassionate care given to Helen the past four years.
A visitation will be held from 9:30-11:00 AM, Saturday, Jan. 19 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, with a celebration of life service to begin at 11:00 AM. Graveside services will take place at 4:00 PM, Saturday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sedalia
