John Joseph Reddis, Sr., of Blue Springs, MO, passed away Wed. Oct. 29, 2008, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 4, at St. John LaLande Catholic Church, 805 NW R.D. Mize Rd., Blue Springs; entombment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 PM Monday at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence. Mr. Reddis was born on July 23, 1933, to Joseph and Lucille Rose (Arnone) Reddis in Kansas City, MO . He was the manager of Ward Parkway Lanes for many years. He invented a tool for repairing pinsetter machines which he marketed through Brunswick. After retiring from Ward Parkway Lanes he became a home builder in Blue Springs. John was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed his children, building things and watching classic movies. He was friendly and outgoing and loved to talk to anyone he met. He was helpful to anyone in need. John volunteered at St. John LaLande School where he loved to do school projects with his youngest daughter and her classmates. After he retired he enjoyed his monthly lunch club with his Italian friends. He was of the Catholic faith and served four years as a Medical Laboratory Technician in the US Air Force having served in Germany and bases in this country. John is survived by his wife Frances and his daughter Alexandra, of the home; his adult children, John Reddis, Jr., Susan (Reddis) Mauck and her husband Jack, Chris Reddis, Paul Reddis, and David Reddis; thirteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and many other extended family members and friends.
