Fred O. Reed

Fred O. Reed, 87, of Mission, TX and formerly of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, April 10, 2004 in Texas. A graveside service will be 3:30 pm Saturday April 17th at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 2 to 3 pm at George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Fred O. Reed Memorial Fund c/o Bank of America 1101 N. Conway Ave, Mission, TX 78572. Fred was born April 2, 1917 in Anderson, MO to Mason and Stella Reed. He was a veteran of the US Navy during WW II. Fred had retired from the GM Leeds plant, and was an avid golfer. Fred was preceded in death by a daughter, Stella Hope Murry, and a son John Edward Reed. Also by his wife, Helen (Jenkins) Reed. He is survived by his daughter, Judee Jane Piatt-Tuttle of Blue Springs, MO; sister, Helen Campbell of Kansas City, MO; 9 Grandchildren, Misty Jo Huber, Travis Piatt, Kristine Norris, Jason Reed, Mason Reed, Elizabeth Riling, Jeff Murry, Beverly Stark, Brian Murry; 11 great grandchildren; special companion of 8 � years, Ruth Sharpton of Texas.
