Lola Elizabeth Reed

Lola Elizabeth Reed, 91, of Buckner, passed away, Sunday, April 24, 2005 at St. Mary�s Hospital in Blue Springs, MO. Services will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 30, 2005 at the First Baptist Church in Buckner. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:00 until service time on Saturday at the church. Donation may be made to the American Cancer Society. Lola was born on February 1, 1914 in Lexington, Mo to Charles Eugene and Gladys Esther (Ritchert) Seitz. She grew up in Wellington and attended public school there. She later moved to Buckner where she lived until her death. She had worked at the Buckner Cleaners, the Buckner Skating Rink, the movie theater in Buckner and was co-owner of the caf� in Buckner. She was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Buckner. She married Glesner L. Reed on March 18, 1939, he passed away, October 13, 1987. Survivors include; 2 daughters, Diane Moppin and Gail Ashmore both of Buckner; 2 brothers, Rodney Seitz of Topeka, KS and John Edward Seitz of Lexington, MO; a sister, Daisy Amer of Odessa, MO; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
