Brent Reitz

Brent Lee Reitz, 62, of Independence, MO, passed away, Sunday, March 21, 2010 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 26, 2010 at the Eastside Baptist Church. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday evening at the Speaks Suburban Chapel with cremation to follow. Donations may be made to the Village of Jackson Creek, General Store fund. Brent was born August 18, 1947 in Altadena, CA to Victor Frank and Dorothy Eileen (Barker) Reitz. He grew up in California, graduated public schools and attended 2 years of college before he proudly serving in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam. Shortly after he was discharged they moved back to California where he worked for AT&T for 30 years retiring in 2002 as a Toll Transmission Man. He enjoyed target shooting, electronics, music, cars and traveling to see the changing seasons. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda (Roark) who he married on October 25, 1969. Other survivors include; a son, Richard Wayne Reitz and his wife Leatha of Grain Valley, MO and a daughter, Jennifer Lyn Rowzee and her husband Wayne of Menifee, CA.
