Raymond “Ray” William Rejda, 69, Independence, MO died April 19, 2008. Graveside services with Full Military Honors will be at 12:30 pm, Wed., April 23, 2008 at Leavenworth National Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Tuesday at Speaks Suburban Chapel.
Ray was born Dec. 30, 1938 in Brainard, NE. Following graduation from Brainard High School he began a twenty-two-year career in the U.S. Air Force. He then began a career as an artist for the Missouri Poster and Banner Company, which spanned thirty years by the time he retired in 2004.
Ray is survived by his wife of 47 years, Wanda Rejda; son Scott Rejda, both of the home; sisters Marcie Kaiser and husband Eddie, Florida; Donna “Sunni” Rejda, Lincoln, NE; brother-in-law Don Weaver and wife Carolyn, Independence, MO; and niece Donna Sheahen and husband Patrick, Ft. Worth, TX.
