Melvin C. Rhodes, Jr, 46, Independence, MO passed away Monday, April 30, 2012. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church; 711 Benton Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64124.
Melvin was born December 1, 1965 in Kansas City, KS the son of Melvin C. and Verna L. (Millison) Rhodes, Sr. He had worked for Family Dollar Retail Store. Melvin was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and the Royal Rangers. He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother, Verna Rhodes; sister, Shirley Jane Smith and husband Randal; brother, Mark A. Rhodes; and nephew Dennis Smith.
