Wanda Rice Earls

July 21, 1932 — March 5, 2013

Wanda Jean Rice Earls, 80, Lebanon, MO formerly of Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2013.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2013 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St. Independence, MO 64055. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Blue Springs Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to Missouri Conservation Department.

Wanda was born July 21, 1932 in Kansas City, MO the daughter of Henry and Flora (Stodgill) Bressman. She was employed with Cairns Flowers and was a member of Eden Heights Community of Christ. Wanda enjoyed traveling and trout fishing at Bennett Springs.

Survivors include: her loving husband Wade Earls, children Marsha Kirksey (husband Anthony), Gary Rice, and Marshall Rice (wife Laurie). Grandchildren include Jennifer Flavin, Matt Kirksey, Sarah Rice, Kyle Rice, Rachael Vaughn, and Leslie Wells, with great grandchildren Katelynn and Logan Kirksey, and Ryder Flavin. She is also survived by brothers and sisters: Floyd Bressman, Henry Bressman, John Bressman, Vollie Hathaway, Janie Salisbury, and additional nieces, nephews and family. She was preceded in death by her first husband Marshall Rice in 1999, brother Carl Bressman, sister Cindy Bressman, and her parents.
