Richard Walter DIETZ, Jr., was born on March 9, 1946 in Santa Fe, New Mexico in an Indian Hospital and died on January 13, 2026 in Independence, MO. Richard graduated from Benson High school, Omaha NE in 1964. He proudly served in the 172nd Transportation unit from the Omaha area in Vietnam. Richard was an avid pool shooter for many years; even taking his team to the league nationals in Las Vegas. He loved the Kansas City Chiefs and the Nebraska Cornhuskers football and girls volleyball teams. He lived the last 35 years in Independence, Missouri owning C.A.S.E. Process Servers until his retirement.

He was predeceased by his parents Richard Walter Dietz, Sr and Hilda Christine (Sorensen) Dietz, former wife Sheryl (Wold) and nephew Billy Berg.

He is survived by son Jamie Dietz (Dana) of Sturgis, SD; son Jon Ramos (Cynthia) of Independence, MO; daughter Dionne Schneider (Brian) of Sioux Falls, SD, 9 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, sisters Gwen Parmenter, Eileen Berg (William), Chris Richardson, close friends Amber Flowers and Jim Campbell, many more family, friends, army buddies, and business associates.

A gathering of friends and family in Independence to celebrate Richard (Dick's) life will be held from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Hilton Garden Inn, 19677 E Jackson Rd, Independence, MO 64057.
