Richard Duane Huff

Richard Duane Huff, 87, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024 after a brief illness. Richard was born on January 3, 1937, in Quinlan, Oklahoma to Eugene and Ina (Cook) Huff.

After graduating from Waynoka (Oklahoma) High School, Richard joined the Air Force and proudly served his country. Afterwards he joined Owens Corning Fiberglass and dedicated 39 years to the company before retiring in 1999.

Known for his stoic demeanor, Richard was a man of few words but was full of profound wisdom. He kept a small circle of friends who cherished his loyalty and genuine companionship. Richard found joy in simple pleasures like jigsaw and crossword puzzles.

Among Richard's proudest accomplishments were being a founding member of the Three Trails Cardigan Welsh Corgi Club of Kansas City and a life member of the Cardigan Welsh Corgi Club of America. Starting with German Shepherds in 1967 and Cardigans in 1989, he dedicated himself to showcasing these beloved dogs, leaving a lasting legacy in the canine community. Richard will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his sisters Carmelita Turner and Darlene Lewis; sons, Tom Stewart (Janet) and Scott Huff (Joy) daughter Kellie Ayers; grandchildren, Joshua and Jason Huff; great-grandchildren, Ethan Huff and Eddie Sensenig.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents; his sister Joyce Turner; his beloved wife, Carolyn and daughter, Kristine Huff.
