Connie Jean Richison Brooks, 58, of Blue Springs, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Research Medical Center, Kansas City.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM., Saturday, October 12, 2013, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055, with interment in the Blue Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM., on Friday, October 11, 2013, at the funeral home.
Connie was born on May 9, 1955, in Kansas City, the daughter of Almon and Reva Lorraine (Haskins) Richisons.
She graduated from East High School, Kansas City. Connie was a housewife and homemaker throughout her life and was always diligent in providing for the needs of her family. She enjoyed cooking, watching westerns, laughing and especially spending time with her family.
She is survived by the love of her life of 18 years, Frank Brooks, Jr., of the home in Blue Springs; three sisters, Rheanna Chancellor; Vickey Smith; and Kimmey Cochran and her husband Darryl, all of Blue Springs; six nieces and nephews; and nine great-nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, Robert Chancellor.
