Reva L. Richison, 76, of Blue Springs, MO passed away Friday, September 18, 2009 at her home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer for seven years. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Monday, September 21, 2009 in the chapel. Burial in Blue Springs Cemetery. Reva was born July 28, 1933 in Coweta, OK to Claude and Ollie (Tabor) Haskins. She was raised in Theodosia and Ava, MO before moving to Kansas City in 1953. Reva was united in marriage to Almon Richison, the love of her life, on December 11, 1954 and together raised four wonderful daughters. Her life revolved around her family! Mrs. Richison enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening in her spare time. Reva is survived by her loving husband of 54 years Almon Richison; daughters Rheanna Kay Chancellor, Vickey Smith, Connie Richison-Brooks and husband Frank, Kimmey Cochran and husband Darryl; grandchildren Michelle James, David Smith II, Robert Smith, Landon Smith, Megan Cochran, Cody Cochran; nine great-grandchildren; sister Laura Lee Snyder; brother Denzil Haskins and wife Donna; and by many special relatives, cousins and friends. Mrs. Richison was preceded in death by her son-in-law Robert Chancellor in ’00; brother Earlin, sister Mary Jane; granddaughter Julie.
