Violet Rion

Violet Irene Rion, 88 of Kansas City, MO passed away, Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday at the Carson-Speaks Chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial in Marshall. MO. Violet was born December 30, 1921in Macks Creek, MO to Autice and Mayme (Wood) Hack and spent her early life there and graduated from Macks Creek High School in 1940. She later moved to California and then to Las Vegas where she had worked for a number of years for Games of Nevada before she retired and returned to Independence, Missouri in the late 1970’s. Survivors include: a sister, Launita Melton of Grain Valley, MO; a step daughter, Donna Powell of Sunrise Beach, MO; 3 grandchildren, Lisa Countryman of Kansas City, MO, Michelle Harrington of Tomahawk, MN and Aaron Montoya of Las Vegas, NV; 5 great grandchildren, Travis, Jaylynn, Alex, Damian and Vanessa. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Montoya in 1979 and 2 brothers, Glen Hack and Clyde Hack.
