Roy Willis Roach, 88, Lee’s Summit, MO passed away Saturday, December 18, 2010.
Graveside services with Military Honors will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Raytown, MO. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Independence, MO.
Roy was born November 10, 1922 in Miami, OK the son of Roy B. and Lucy Mae (Simms) Roach. He was a graduate of Westport High School. Roy was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII with the field artillery. He retired from Unocal Chemical Division as plant superintendent.
Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Marcella (Cassidy) Roach; and son, Gary Roach.
Survivors include his children, Patricia Roach of Dallas, TX, Steve Roach and his wife Edith of Marmora, NJ, Doug Roach and his wife Lovell of O’Fallon, MO; daughter in law, Cathy Roach of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Megan, Sarah, Kevin, Craig, Brett, Trevor Roach, Amanda and Samantha Buckner; and sister, Betty Preissner of Coral Gables, FL.
