Frances Roady, 81, of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, March 7, 2009 at the John Knox Village Care Center after several months of illness. Frances was born Nov. 29, 1927 in Van Buren, AR. She taught for 38 years in elementary schools in the Kansas City School system. She enjoyed reading, sewing, decorating, and loved flowers. Frances will be missed for her independent nature by all who knew and loved her.
Frances is survived by her brother Charles Roady and wife Delores; sister Janet Brockway and husband Stanley; brother-in-law Dr. T.K. Lin; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be from 1-2:00 PM Tuesday, March 10 with services beginning at 2:00 PM at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence. Graveside services will be at 3:15 PM at Johnson County Memorial Gardens in Overland Park, KS.
