Hazel Dene Roady, 91, Independence, MO passed away Sunday, November 18, 2012.
Visitation will be from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2012 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Green Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice.
Hazel was born July 9, 1921 in Boone County, MO the daughter of William James and Jessie Lee (Daniels) Poff. She married Ott Roady on July 27, 1957. Hazel worked in the communications division of General Services Administration as a secretary. She enjoyed playing the organ and piano at various churches including Lighthouse Baptist Church which she attended.
Hazel was preceded in death by her husband Ott in 2007; five sisters; and three brothers. Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
