Ann Roark, 65, of Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at her home after a courageous battle with Ovarian Cancer. Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday May 29, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 p.m. until service time. Interment will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at Memorial Park Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. Contributions are suggested to the Ovarian Cancer Alliance-7204 High Drive, Prairie Village, KS 66208-3355. Mrs. Roark was born in Kansas City, MO to William and Ocena Meinsen. She was a Tool Coordinator for a plastics company for over 20 years. She also worked for the Raytown School District for 10 years. She was a member of the Santa Fe Trailers Square Dance Club, volunteered for the Salvation Army and enjoyed bowling. Her team, to honor her, renamed the team "Annie�s Angels�. She is survived by her husband of over 40 years, Jewell Roark; 1 son, Tad and wife Diana Roark; 1 brother, Don Meinsen; 3 grandchildren, Kristin and husband Sam Cliver, Kate Schwaller and Robert Schwaller; all of whom are from Independence, MO.
